Soup, the Spirit, and Salvation (Alberto)
God has been stirring me up lately and renewing my walk with Him. As Galatians 5:16 says,
“Walk by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh… But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”
On Wednesday, I went to a soup kitchen at lunch time. As it was closing up, God pointed out a man to me, who is homeless, sitting by the door. God impressed on my heart to bear the fruit of His Spirit and to share the love of the Father with this man — that God cares about him and the situation that he is in. I told this man (his name is Steve) that the Father has a better way of life for him — a life in the Kingdom of Jesus. I then asked Steve if I could pray for him. So I prayed that he would receive the life of Jesus and that he would place his trust in God. Steve responded in faith to Jesus! Praise the Lord. God wants to guide each of us in our everyday lives to share the good news of Jesus.
