Feedback: Visit to New Covenant Church, Bryanston (Johannesburg, South Africa) – Apr 28th – May 9th

New Covenant Church, Bryanston is led by Ash and Nadine Bell, friends who recently ministered at CITC. My visit to their church was for 3 mains reasons…

  1. National Elders Conference: Over 700 elders and wives from NCMI partnering churches in Africa gathered at NCCB for 3 days of fellowship, worship, teaching and ministry. The time together was personally encouraging and enlarging as I had chance to meet a number of leaders and hear all that God is doing in continent. A highlight was the final session which transitioned from worship into a prophetic and commissioning ministry time as leaders prepared to head back to their respective nations and churches.
  2. Ministry at NCCB: Ash invited me to preach at NCCB’s Sunday gathering and visit their 3 other sites situated south of Johannesburg.
  3. Time spent with NCCB’s eldership team and staff: NCCB have planted over 35 churches and resourced countless others in various ways in many nations over the past 30 years. Their commitment to exalt Jesus, “do” church in an out-the-box manner and train and release the priesthood of believers in an obvious and very tangible way as always intrigued me. Getting to know Ash and Nadine as friends over the past fews opened the door for me to visit their campus and spend time with their leaders and staff to learn from a church with a similar heart as CITC, but who are 5-10 steps ahead of us.

Thanks for all who prayed for me while I traveled and for my family who were back home.
