Feedback: Partnering with The Bridge (Pickering, ON) – Jun 4-7, 2015
On Friday morning Steve and I arrived at a beautiful camp sight in Beaverton, Toronto for The Bridge’s Family Retreat. The Bridge is led by an amazing couple, Mark and Bridget Ellwood.
This is the second time we have been invited to the church to minister so it was wonderful seeing some familiar faces and also some new faces. There was much more time to chat and get to know people around the table and also over free time on Saturday afternoon.
After our yummy dinner with the elders on Friday night, we went straight into our first of five meetings over the weekend. Steve shared about being sent with a revelation of who JESUS is and who we are in Him. It was received incredibly well and he had some great feedback. I was also able to share some words which encouraged the folk there.
We also had the privilege of witnessing a baptism in the canal that was on the retreat campus.
It was a great weekend and we were privileged to have been invited and to share in their precious church family time.
One funny thing that happened was that Steve and I nearly got attacked by a nesting pair of Ospreys, which are large fish eating birds of prey! We were trying to identify the birds while we were walking on the grounds when we heard a strange hissing noise coming from the male which got increasingly more intense as we approached. Needless to say, we made an hasty exit! AFV hear we come!
